Join Sona for our Fall Yoga Mala, a practice of 108 salutations done in unison as a moving meditation. The arrival of Fall invites us to wind down from the high energy of Summer, giving way to balance, when days and nights are of equal length. This mala will be a practice of balance, with both sun and moon salutations, inviting you to let go, gather, and ground. This is a powerful time to come together as a community to let go of the stuff we hold onto that is no longer serving and to honor the gift of life and energy we receive from each new day.
The practice will be divided into four sets of 27 salutations, each set with it’s own intention. There will be options to take modifications and rest as needed, joining back in when ready. Even if you are resting, others will be practicing and so as a kula (community), we will complete all 108! We will bookend the practice with kriyas and breath, grounding and opening postures and a long (and well-deserved) savasana. Come explore this beautiful and powerful practice that will stretch you in more ways than one! Some yoga experience suggested, but modifications will be shown.
