Want to start a yoga practice, but don’t know exactly where to begin? This 2-hour workshop is perfect for students who have NEVER practiced yoga and want to give it a try!
If you’re brand new to yoga or want to get back to basics, this is the place to be! During this workshop, you’ll learn the building blocks of a yoga practice, including how to use your feet and hands, how to breathe, foundational movements and postures, and an introduction to yoga philosophy. With a focus on building awareness and strength, this workshop with Alicia will prepare you to join the 4 Week Yoga Series or to join a public class.
We’ll cover:
* Simple breathing exercises that are common to our practice
* Foundational yoga postures and how to adapt them to your abilities and needs.
* Time to break down postures and for you to ask questions
What you will need:
* A willingness to try to new things
* Arrive 15 minutes before the workshop begins
* Wear clothes that allow comfortable movement
* Bring water- yoga mats are provided as part of the cost!
