Join Dejia for a dreamy candlelit evening of restorative yoga & healing reiki on January 4, 6:30-8:30 pm.
In this workshop, we will explore the art of deep relaxation through meditation, restorative yoga & reiki to help us experience profound ease. Restorative yoga utilize props to help settle us into gentle supported rest, with each shape held for about 15 minutes. This extra time helps our bodies to soften & yield into the space, while also allowing us to drop into our parasympathetic nervous system. The parasympathetic nervous system helps facilitate healing on many levels – body, mind & soul. Reiki will be offered throughout to help provide additional healing.
Reiki is the universal life energy within & around all of us. It is offered through gentle hands-on touch, or hands may hover if you prefer to opt-out of hands-on touch. We use reiki to help balance energy flow in our physical, emotional & spiritual body. It is deeply relaxing & only requires you to be open to letting the reiki flow where it is needed. Lastly, we’ll be working with poses to help ground & support us as we enter into the winter season. Our practice will focus on supporting the kidney & urinary bladder meridians; this yin yang organ pairing works together with the element of water to help us physically & energetically let go of what no longer serves us. We will invite further grounding with an optional essential oil to help relax the mind & lull us into ultimate bliss.
Bring anything you need to feel cozy – socks, blanket, eye mask or extra layers. If you have any concerns, please reach out to Dejia.
Space is limited to 12 students to ensure everyone is fully supported & pre-registration is encouraged.
$40 Early bird, $45 Late bird
*Please feel free to linger at the end of the workshop if you need extra grounding before driving or if you’d like time for reflection. You may wish to bring a journal to jot down any notes or experiences during your time of rest.*
